Easy Harp Solitaire

Frequently asked questions about Easy Harp

Can you move several cards at once?

No, only one card, the top card, can be moved between columns. The only exception is a sequence starting with a king, in alternating colors, which can move as a unit to an empty column. To break up an ordinary sequence, you must move it one card at a time.

The one-card-at-a-time rule

What can be placed on an empty column?

Only a king, either on its own or leading a sequence in alternating colors. Any other card is rejected, even if moving it would uncover a face-down card.

The empty column

Why eight foundations?

The game uses two decks of 52 cards, making 104 cards: there are two copies of every card. There are therefore 2 foundations per suit, 8 in total, each built up from ace to king.

How many times can you go through the stock?

As many times as you like. Each tap turns one card face up onto the waste; when the stock is empty, a tap returns the waste to the stock, with no points lost.

What is the daily deal?

In the New Game window, "Daily Deal" deals a layout derived from the device's date: the same for all players that day. On October 30, 2026, it is deal no. 20 757, and the number increases by one each day.

What does the game code mean?

Each deal has a number from 1 to 999 999, represented as a code, such as EH1-N-AAAAAAF for deal no. 5. In the New Game window, "Load a game using a code" reproduces exactly the same layout on any device.

How many points is a game worth?

A card placed on a foundation earns 10 points, a card turned face up earns 5, and a card moved from the waste to the tableau earns 5. The 104 cards on foundations and 36 cards turned face up already total 1 220 points in any game won without taking cards back from foundations. The game on the Examples page ends with 1 400 points.

Can you undo a move or take a card back from a foundation?

Yes to both. The app keeps the last 100 actions, and undoing also removes the points earned by the undone move. You can also drag the top card of a foundation back to the tableau, without gaining or losing points.
